Winter at Crestview Executive Suite
Turn the key in the lock, open the door, kick off your shoes, and walk straight down the hall. Step into the sunken living room, flick the switch on the gas fireplace, spin up a smooth jazz CD on the stereo and dim the lights. Pad softly to the refrigerator, remove a bottle of your favorite wine and fill a crystal glass. Light several candles on the bar and turn off the kitchen lights . . . ah, the mood is set. Now, pad upstairs in your stocking feet and settle in to a luxuriant bath robe. Take a deep breath, better yet, take several. Focus, center, and let the worries of your day fall away. Now descend the stairs, prepared to make your entrance into the sunken living room, an invitation to relax, stare at the fire, the soft strains of smooth jazz punctuating the mood.  Your glass of wine has been breathing on the bar, and now you’re ready to savor the welcome this home has in store as you settle into soft sofa cushions, put your feet up, and let your thoughts run away, far from your daily cares.

Summer at Crestview Executive Suite

It’s an early morning walk over the 8 miles of trails at Minto Brown Park, surely including a sojourn along the banks of the Willamette River to view waterfowl. Enjoy the soft susurrations of water sliding along the rocks lining the bank. Tee time at Salem Golf Club is set for 10:00 am, so there’s plenty of time to walk back to the house, freshen up and get ready for challenge and visual pleasures of the lush fairways.  Manicured greens and challenging obstacles make this course quite the attraction. After your round, you’ll be ready for a bit of lunch at Rudy’s (one of Salem’s finest) and a stroll through the pro shop to pick up a souvenir tee towel or polo shirt. Central air conditioning awaits you upon your return home, so you can relax, and if the sun hasn’t warmed things too much, pull up a chair under the umbrella on the deck, and grab a cold one. Make reservations at one of the superior restaurants in town for an early dinner and return home in time to savor the glorious sunset that the pure air and verdant horizons offer.  Be sure to take in the spectacular views of the night sky, with the stars blanketing the heavens like the dance of a billion fireflies overhead, an occasional meteor punctuating the view to remind you of your insignificance in the cosmos.

Fall at Crestview Executive Suite

Ahh fall, the most beautiful time at Crestview. Be certain to be here in October.  It’s the warm temperatures, the vibrant colors of nature’s fall palette, the hint of crispness in the morning air that reminds you of the coming days of winter.  The smell of wood smoke, the long-shadowed days of Autumn and the golden-hewed rays of the sun casting an almost surreal quality to the natural beauty surrounding you beckons you. Long evenings on the deck watching spectacular sunsets over the many smoky ridges marching off toward the coast range and the Pacific Ocean. Pop over to Bush Pasture Park for a long walk on the numerous trails and be sure to bring along some peanuts for the myriad squirrels that inhabit the place. Make time to visit the art center gallery and see some of the fine art work in the Willamette Valley and the surrounding foothills. Set aside a weekend to make a tour of some of the many fine wineries in the area. Purchase tickets for a football game at one of the many college campuses within an hours drive. So many things to do and see . . . so many wonderful memories to accumulate.
